Locally sourced produce
All of our meats and vegetables are whenever possible. We are lucky to know some amazing local foods producers right on our doorstep; for example, our silverside of beef comes from a small holding, about an hour down the road in North Cornwall and our turkeys come from near Crediton in Mid-Devon. All of our vegetables are sourced from local fruit and veg supplier, whom source primarily hyper-local produce, such as cauliflower and cabbages from Braunton, swedes from South Molton and eggs and potatoes from Bideford!
Carveries are a way of life here at The Royal and Fortescue, and we’re very proud of the food we provide. Both hotel guests and locals alike compliment us on our fresh tasty food and outstanding customer service, returning time and time again to tuck into one of our carveries.
This special offer is our way of saying thank you to you, our guests and to celebrate the new look of our restaurant, now known as RF Restaurant (previously The Lord Fortescue). But if you haven’t joined us before, now’s the ideal time to come and say hello. We know you won’t be disappointed!
We endeavour to cater for any dietary requirement and have many great vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, but we advise calling ahead to make sure we can offer you the best possible options.
